Today, we practiced the process of sorting. The students looked at the Jolly Phonics sounds of S, A, and T. We grouped pictures based on beginning sounds. We talked about why we put certain pictures under certain headers. For example, we said, "SOUP sounds like SNAKE, so I will put it with the S header.
Below, I am attaching the sort. Please have your child cut and sort the words at home again. This will reinforce important letter-sound relationships we have explored in class.
